36th Street Bakery Receives Polished Apple Award

Mayor John Gilleland {right} presents Rick Dudley with the Polished Apple Award for his renovations to 36th Street Bakery.


Rick Dudley, owner of 36th Street Bakery, Cafe & Catering, recently received the City of Lincolnton Polished Apple Award for the renovation of their business at 101 N. Court Square.

The Polished Apple Award is a city-wide recognition program established to recognize and encourage positive physical improvements in the City of Lincolnton. A program of the City of Lincolnton award recipients are selected by a volunteer citizens group and are awarded based on the established program criteria.
Beverly and Wesley Black completed a major project that included a total interior and exterior rehabilitation of their building.
The Polished Apple Award review committee meets on a regular basis to review applications and nominations. A property owner may apply or a noteworthy improvement project may be nominated to receive the award. For more information, Contact the Business & Community Development Department at 704-736-8915.

Pottery & Paintings in Downtown Lincolnton

Fausto Coffee is proudly hosting the art of John Lafferty! You can view John's work at their open house tomorrow evening , Friday, November 19th, from 5:30 p.m. til 7:30 p.m. Refreshments & wine will be served...and of course...coffee! Not able to come? Don't worry. John's work will remain on display through the holidays!

John Lafferty, PC will be displaying pottery made by Peggy Lafferty & Rosemary Leonard. Join them at their open house tomorrow evening, Friday, November 19th, from 5:00 p.m. til 8:00 p.m., and again on Saturday, November 20th, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

With only 38 days left until Christmas, this year's holiday 'shop clock' has started and the time is ticking away for shoppers to scoop up that perfect gift for their loved ones this holiday season.
