Heavenly Paws Holiday Raffle



There are only 3 days left until Heavenly Paws draws the winner to their Heavenly Paws Holiday Raffle. The raffle is for 2 barkin' awesome gift baskets! The gift baskets were made especially for man's best friend, containing goodies like Milk Bones, good boy treats, stuffed animals, doggy poo bags and so much more...So get your raffle tickets today!


Tickets are $1 per ticket or $5 for 6 tickets. The drawing will be held the morning of Christmas Eve, giving you plenty of time to stop by the shop to pick up your winnings, wrap your companion's gift and still take Fido for a walk!

Heavenly Paws will be open Christmas Eve for their Holiday Open House where guests can bring their furry friend for play time. Don't have a furry friend?...Come and play anyway!

Heavenly Paws would like to remind you this Holiday Season that there are many pets that need a warm and loving home. Heavenly Paws has 3 rescue animals up for adoption and have more arriving this week. Please stop by and visit these lovable animals. Heavenly Paws is also in dire need of product to help take care the rescues they graciously open their doors to: Towels, blankets, comforters, newspaper and dog & cat food {such as Iams, Pedigree, Purina, etc} are all welcome!

Get your tickets for A Place To Grow's Quilt Raffle




The Downtown Development Association {DDA} is pleased to announce that they will be selling tickets for a Quilt Raffle sponsored by A Place to Grow and the United Way.


Don’t miss out on the opportunity to win a one-of-a-kind quilt made especially for A Place to Grow by their friends at Kohl’s of Mooresville. All proceeds support A Place to Grow, Lincoln County’s ONLY developmental preschool for children with special needs.


Tickets are just $2 each or 3 for $5


The winning ticket will be drawn at their Sweetheart Pancake Breakfast on Saturday, February 12th, 2011, at Fatz Café. The winning ticket will not need to be present at the drawing.

Lincoln Landmarks On Sale for the Holidays





The Downtown Development Association (DDA) is pleased to announce that the replicas of the Lincoln Landmark Collection series are on sale just in time for the holidays!

The Lincoln Landmark Collection is a series of hand-painted ceramic miniature replicas of historic Lincoln County buildings included on the National Register of Historic Places. In 2002, the DDA began the Lincoln Landmark Series with the historic Lincoln County Courthouse, which sold old quickly. The Lincoln Landmark Series makes a wonderful gift for friends and family with ties to Lincolnton or for collectors of miniature buildings. And for the many of you that purchased the first installment of the series, this is a perfect time for you to add to your collection.

The first edition of the Lincoln Landmark Collection featured the Lincoln County Court House. The Court House replica is no longer available.


The second edition of the Lincoln Landmark Collection featured the building of the Lincoln Cultural Center, former home of the First Baptist Church of Lincolnton. The ceramic replica is hand-painted, lighted within, and stands 7 1/2" x 9 1/2" x 7". Limited availability.


The third edition of the Lincoln Landmark Collection featured the building of the Gaston College Lincoln Campus, the former Lincolnton High School. The ceramic replica is hand-painted, lighted from within, and stands 10 1/4" x 3 1/4" x 6 3/8”. Limited availability.


The fourth edition of the Lincoln Landmark Collection featured the building of the St. Luke’s Episcopal Church. The ceramic replica is hand-painted, lighted from within, and stands 8” x 7” x 8 1/2”. Limited availability.

The DDA is offering Jingle Bucks for sale from now through Christmas. Jingle Bucks are gift certificates that can be spent with any participating business in downtown Lincolnton. The certificates are available in $5, $10, and $20 denominations.


The Jingle Bucks further promote the “Go Local Lincolnton” campaign that the DDA initiated this past year. By giving your loved ones Jingle Bucks, you are ensuring that your dollars will be staying in Lincolnton and Lincoln County. So instead of buying gift cards to big box retailers, buy Jingle Bucks and then your friends and family will be able to shop our unique and independently owned stores in downtown Lincolnton.

Preservation By The Cup

Usher in the holiday season with the Lincoln County Historical Association {LCHA} as they celebrate historic preservation in Lincoln County with Preservation By The Cup. This event corresponds with the Downtown Development Association of Lincolnton's holiday Carriage Rides. So come by and help us celebrate over 56 years of historic preservation before or after you take a carriage ride around Lovable Lincolnton's wonderful downtown!


Purchase a commemorative mug by Catawba Valley potter Luke Heafner of Heafner Pottery for $15, and you will receive your choice of hot cider or coffee and one of 36th Street Bakery's delicious pastries, as well as support the LCHA.
