Angel Capital Association, is a true peer-to-peer organization. ACA is already starting to change the nature of early-stage investments for entrepreneurs, and venture capitalists. This website provides thought-provoking discussions and valuable information.

I'm curious as to why the DDA would choose to promote a blatantly commercial business in Canada for e-commerce websites. There are literally hundreds of companies that design and develop websites, including e-commerce, with at least one located right here in the heart of the city of Lincolnton.
Wouldn't you rather have businesses spend their money locally and help to develop the downtown community rather than go outside the neighborhood that supports them?

DDA wants all downtown Lincolnton retailers to improve the profitability of their respective shops. The information we provide is tailored toward providing self-help for that purpose.
Shopify provides a unique ‘do it yourself’ opportunity for e-commerce that does not require a web developer. In addition, retailers can evaluate the service for free before they decide if it is worth paying for. If a ‘do it yourself’ free trial e-commerce solution is available from a local provider, please post the contact information and it will be available to everyone.
DDA’s focus is to help downtown businesses increase sales. This may be through adding new product lines, finding more effective ways to reach existing customers, finding new customers, improving marketing and promotional activities, and/or reducing costs and expenses. These are all topics addressed in information provided and in the information to be provided in the future.
Many of the ‘unique and boutique’ retailers currently in downtown Lincolnton and the ones DDA is working to attract could not survive on a “local only” market. However, DDA and most locally owned independent business owners understand the importance of “buying local first.”
