Downtown Art Stroll A Success

Hundreds - possibly reaching into the thousands - turned out for the first-ever ARTstroll Downtown Lincolnton Friday night. The event - a grassroots effort coordinated by a group of volunteers, artists, businesses, and public organizations - featured not only works of art, but also music, wine tastings, and refreshments. Many downtown businesses extended their hours for the event, including Freedom Church, which featured live pottery demonstrations by local potter Robert Hovis, and The Last Picasso: A Garden of the Arts distributed one-of-a-kind paper hats to strollers.
