Lincolnton Celebrates MLK Day

Many gathered in downtown Lincolnton Monday to celebrate the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. The day's f estivities, coordinated by the Coalition of Churches and the M artin Luther King Committee, included breakfast at the Lincoln Cul tural Center followed by a youth program and a march to Court Square where testimonies to Dr. King's legacy were given by members of the crowd.
The East Lincoln High School "Show Band of the Carolinas" provided music for the event.
